Chemstrat manufactures its own cleaning chemicals and supplies the equipment, consumables and washroom products used alongside them, serving businesses across South Africa since 1992.
From Creative Cleaning Systems to Chemstrat
The company began in 1992 as Creative Cleaning Systems, blending cleaning chemicals for local businesses. Manufacturing has stayed at the heart of the business ever since, and the chemical range has grown to cover general purpose cleaners, disinfectants, floor and tile care, degreasers, dishwash, laundry products and hand care.
As customers asked for more than chemicals, the range widened to include the equipment, disposables and washroom products used alongside them. A contractor or factory can now order mops, scrubbers, paper products and sanitiser on the same account as their chemicals, which is how the catalogue reached its current size of several hundred products, with over 500 variations in pack size, colour and active concentration.
Nine of our products have been tested by SMT Laboratories and Merieux Nutrisciences against EN 1276 and SANS 1828, with plain statements of what each one proves. Test reports are available on request, and we work under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.

Manufacturing
The liquids, powders and gels are made at our own plant, which gives us control over batch consistency and the pack sizes customers order.
Ownership
Chemstrat is 100% black-owned and holds a Level 1 B-BBEE rating, which supports customers who report on procurement and preferential spend.
Quality
The business is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and a Safety Data Sheet is maintained for every chemical in the range.
